Dina Consulting & Design

was founded in 2006 by Claudia and John Dina. John, an expert in electrical engineering of motor and locomotive control systems performed on-site consulting and retrofitting. They saw the ever-increasing need in the railroad and locomotive industry for new products.

Today, we provide specialized solutions for the railroad industry through New Product Design, Locomotive Consulting, and Extensive Parts & Service department.

Claudia serves as DC&D’s CEO, running the company, keeping production and sales moving forward, working on strategizing future growth and opportunities, and keeping an watchful eye on the ever-evolving needs of our industry. John is the chief engineer and on-site consultant, connecting with clients, integrating DC & D technology into locomotives around the globe, bringing with him the passion for all things locomotive. He has the drive and desire to make our two-hundred year-old industry safer, cleaner and sustainable.

Our tight-knit group of engineers, developers, and locomotive consultants boast over 150 years of hands-on locomotive design, research and development experience, allowing us to emerge as a burgeoning business that specializes in new product development for locomotives and passenger systems around the world.

We appreciate the history and tradition of our industry, yet we are constantly striving to innovate the most modern products. Dina Battery Chargers, Power Inverters, LED Control Panels and Emergency Cab Lighting Systems can be found everywhere trains operate, from engines of smaller regional fleets to the passenger cars of large-scale public transportation systems.

We have spent the last 10 plus years working to expand and grow DC&D, creating innovative control and power systems that have never been available to the locomotive industry, striving to upgrade the overall quality of productivity products while also reducing costs.

Our used parts warehouse is comprised of thousands of both standard and hard-to-find items, and we also provide the capability to rebuild any of the used components, providing on site consulting and locomotive testing teams globally.
